SENIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER
The Senior Graphic Designer (SGD) is ultimately responsible for leads art concepts in the production of advertising. The SGD works with the Creative Brief, Account Manager and Creative Director to push the strategy into design.
Advanced knowledge of production processes, including but not limited to pre-press requirements, type specification, photo cropping, etc., and computer layout/illustration/pre-press, is important to this position.
This position is a development position that poises a Graphic Designer to advancement as Art Director. The SGD must show the capability of organizing and developing mix media capabilities. Reports to the Creative/Art Director.
DUTIES:
Creative Support
- Supervises all layout work/art assigned by the Art Director.
- Produces and/or delegates all artwork according to the Art Director’s specifications.
- Confirms all production deadlines with Creative Director/Traffic Manager.
- Approves all work from Creative team prior to turning in work for Creative/AE/Client approval.
- Acts as the Creative lead when Art/Creative Director is not present.
Department Support
- May organize and prioritize jobs within department when Creative Director/Traffic Manager is not present.
- Meets with AMs/DM/Media as required ensuring timely, accurate completion of assigned projects.
- Keeps Management informed of need to upgrade design-related computer hardware/software.
- Responsible for department productivity.
- Responsible for department’s compliance to company standards.
